What to Expect

🌿 Escape to Nature: Immerse yourself in the breathtaking surroundings of our secluded campsite nestled in the heart of nature. Embark on beautiful hikes through scenic trails. Disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with the healing energy of the great outdoors and community.

🧘 Mindful & Holistic Wellness: Immerse yourself in a guided sound bath experience and yoga class, each led by experienced instructors.  Cultivate mindfulness and inner peace as you tune into the rhythms of nature and find harmony within yourself.

🏕️ Campfire Connections: Forge meaningful connections with like-minded individuals & build your community around the campfire. Community building exercises will be included to help break the ice😉 Share stories, laughter, and moments of inspiration as you create lasting memories together.

🌟 Personal Growth: Embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth as you step outside your comfort zone and embrace new experiences and connections.

Important Information to note:

Activities and Schedule:

Check-In is at 3:30pm on Saturday, May 11 & Check- Out is 12pm on Sunday,  May 12.

For itinerary and activities included in our retreat, please see the section above under "What to Expect". You will receive the exact schedule a few days before the retreat begins.

Accommodations and Facilities:

 

Please keep in mind the following information about our accommodations:

We will be sleeping in tents! There are bathrooms available which have sinks with cold water however, there is no electricity available & no showers.

 

We will have some lanterns to share but please come prepared with what you need for an optimal experience, such as battery powered lanterns, flashlights, battery packs to charge your phone etc.

Location and Directions:

The camping wellness retreat will take place at Lake Norman Campgrounds 759 State Park Road
Troutman,  NC  28166.

The exact campsite information will be provided closer to the date!

This is not a drive in camp site so keep that in mind. There is a parking lot just a few minute walk from the camp site for some vehicles as well as overflow parking at the Visitors Center.

Food and Meals:

We will be providing deli sandwiches for dinner on Saturday & a light breakfast of fruit, yogurt & oatmeal will be provided on Sunday morning. We will also have granola bars & some other snack available.

Feel free to bring any other foods you might like for yourself or for the group!

Participation in the Camping Wellness Retreat involves certain inherent risks and dangers associated with camping and outdoor activities.

By signing up for this retreat, you are assuming full responsibility for my own safety and well-being for the duration of the retreat. If there are any specific items/medications that you need for you health and safety, please be sure to bring those along.

Feel free to adjust this list based on your personal needs:

  • Camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, hammock, etc.)

  • Chair for campfire circle

  • Comfortable clothing for outdoor activities, swim suit, hiking shoes as well as slippers/flip flops if you'd like

  • Sunscreen & insect repellent

  • Tissues

  • Water Bottle

  • Battery powered lantern, flashlight

  • Battery pack for phone charging

  • Yoga Mat

  • Mug 

  • Journal & Pen

  • Snacks or any food you might want

  • Any personal medications you might need

  • WATER!! We will have some water available but since the campsite doesn't not have drinkable water, you will definitely need to bring water!

Meet Dani! Our Retreat's Yoga Instructor! 

Dani's yoga journey began in her hometown of Westchester, NY back in 2013. Her passion for yoga grew so much over the years she decided to go through her first teacher training in 2019. She is a 500 hr registered yoga teacher who firmly believes that yoga is for everyone.

 

Off the mat you can find her outdoors, singing, practicing her handstands, traveling, playing with her dog Luna, and spending quality time with those who mean most.
